About

A technical sourcing partner for mining and heavy industry.

Why we exist

Why we built this.

China makes a huge share of the world's industrial equipment and much of it is made well. Sourcing it from outside the country is the hard part. The best suppliers are not the easiest ones to find, and once an order is placed there is nobody on the ground to see what is actually being built.

That is where we come in. We work across mining and minerals processing, chemical and cleantech plants, water treatment, and heavy civil, from bench and pilot scale up to production. Our supplier network was built through years of project execution with major infrastructure partners, and through the people we know on the ground. Warranty terms, spare parts, and how fast someone picks up when something goes wrong all follow the relationship more than the purchase order.

How we work

One point of contact.

Every inquiry starts with Spencer. He reads the spec, finds the right suppliers, runs the RFQ, and works through pricing, terms, and lead times with you. We have people on the ground in China. Having someone in each time zone means the work keeps moving overnight, and you stay with the same point of contact throughout.

Spencer Hutchins
Founder

Spencer is a senior process engineer with a Masters from UC Berkeley. His work has focused on direct lithium extraction and ion exchange. He also works across water treatment, solid-liquid separation, and the hydrometallurgy around them. That means designing and commissioning pilot plants, scaling them to commercial designs, and running operations on the ground at projects in Argentina and the Great Salt Lake. He also spent years living in China, where he built relationships and learned how business gets done there.
