Review a supplier before you buy.
Bring a supplier you are considering or ask us to help identify one. We agree the checks needed for your requirement.
Areas we can review
-
Company details
Available registration information, the stated business and factory addresses, and whether the company manufactures the product or supplies it through another business.
-
Technical capability
Experience with similar requirements, access to technical staff and how well the supplier explains its proposed solution and any limitations.
-
Communication and responsiveness
How clearly and promptly the supplier answers questions, follows up on missing information and communicates changes.
-
Quality and relevant certifications
Available quality-control information, test reports and certifications relevant to your requirement. A review can include the issuer, validity and whether the document covers the relevant company, site or product.
-
Production and support
The supplier’s stated production capacity and lead time, what the offer includes and what support is available after purchase.
-
Site visits upon request
The purpose of the visit, specific checks and reporting agreed with you before visiting the supplier.
The review depends on your requirement and agreed scope. A place on the register does not mean every check has been completed. A management-system certificate does not by itself certify a particular product.
